Wheel Well Boxes
Austin framed out the wheel well boxes with 2x2s yesterday. Today, he cut some scrap plywood (thinner than our subfloor, this was left over from other projects) to finish the boxes. Using construction adhesive and wood screws, he attached the plywood to the frames. He cut pieces of scrap XPS foam board, which fit perfectly inside the 2×2 frames. Now, our floor is completely insulated!!
Wall Insulation Prep
Our van came with plastic covers on the walls, which we removed early on in the build. However, we had left on the covers on the door panels. Since we want to insulate the doors, Austin pulled off the door panel covers today. He removed the trim clips using a screwdriver and the prying side of a hammer. Some broke, and others will be reusable. Now we’re ready to insulate the walls and doors!
We called it an early day, so this is a short post.
